Modern personality systems like MBTI, 16Personalities, Big Five, or DISC have helped millions understand themselves better. But they all have one major limitation:

Each of these models focuses on four of the eight core psychological functions: the dominant, auxiliary, tertiary, and inferior. These form partly our conscious personality – including our ego. But what about the other four functions?

According to C.G. Jung, these “invisible” functions are far from irrelevant. They form the very architecture of our unconscious psyche – where the Anima (in men), the Animus (in women), and the Golden Shadow reside. • The Golden Shadow is always the inverted form of the auxiliary (e.g., Ne ↔ Ni, Te ↔ Ti)
